Love to Langa is a US-based 501(c)3 charity focused on children in the Townships surrounding Cape Town, South Africa. The organization aims to empower leadership and children to learn within impoverished communities.

Staff is entirely volunteers, 100% of donations go towards programs. Founded in 2010, Love to Langa has funded many initiatives including scholarships, teacher training programs, enrichment and field trips, workshops, a sports program and, most recently, the Love to Langa Swimming Academy.

Roughly 22% of South Africans live in extreme poverty, not being able to pay for basic nutritional requirements; 37% of people don't have enough money to purchase both adequate food items and non-food items so they have to sacrifice food to pay for things like transport and airtime; 53.8% of people can afford enough food and non-food items but fall under the widest definition of poverty in SA, surviving on under R779 per month.

The Global Millennials for Progress - Hazel's Centre of Hope is projected to open in 2018 and will serve as a refuge to dozens of children for many years to come. We are seeking to mobilize 1,000+ millennials, donate $45,000, and are commissioning an Impact Trip in March 2017 to survey the proposed grounds of the orphanage.
