We believe every human being regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, ORIENTATION, age, nationality, or point of view should be protected under law and rule, treated equitably, and afforded the same access to opportunity

Issues we seek to solve:

People of color, women, and LGBTI individuals continue to be marginalized globally

  • In the United States, 1 in 3 black men and 1 in 6 latino men will go to jail at some point in their lives, as compared to 1 in 17 white men
  • Women in most countries earn on average only 60 to 75 percent of men's wages
  • 79 global economies have laws that restrict the types of jobs that women can do, while 15 global economies permit husbands to legally object to their wives accepting certain jobs
  • Nearly 50% of the transgendered employee population report that they were either fired, not advanced, or not hired due to their gender identity

In many developing countries, laws against child labor, children trafficking and recruitment of children into armed battle need to be strengthened

  • More than 2 million children are subjected to prostitution in the global commercial sex trade
  • An estimated 150 million children worldwide are engaged in child labor
  • In the last 15 years, the use of child soldiers has spread to almost every region of the world and every armed conflict
  • It's estimated that there are 300,000 children in armed groups around the world

An estimated 2.5 million people are ensnared in human trafficking at any given time

  • Roughly 600,000 to 800,000 women, children and men bought and sold across international borders every year and exploited for forced labor or commercial sex
  • There are nearly 25 million victims of trafficking world wide
  • Approx 80% are women and children bought, sold and imprisoned in the underground sex service industry
